With the registration of Buck Duchene, Winnipeg now has 10 mayoral candidates.
The point of purchase sales specialist registered Friday. He said he plans to focus his campaign on three key issues – repairing existing infrastructure, boosting transit ridership and improving snow clearing.
Duchene said he has no previous political experience, but has ideas on ways to move the city past some of its age-old debates, including over rapid transit.
“If you want to get your voice out there, you’ve got to give it a try,” he said by telephone.
